Every morning will begin with a fun and engaging video with songs and Bible stories. The kids will dance and laugh along as we learn about Jesus together.

DAILY CRAFT

Craft kits will be sent home and daily instructional videos will guide your children in creating a daily craft that reinforces the lesson of the day.

DAILY SCIENCE EXPERIMENT

Bring out our inner scientist and marvel at God’s creation as we do fun science experiments together. Instructional videos and supplies will be provided.

DAILY ACTIVITY

Show us your best dance move! Build an amazing fort! Every day there will be a new activity to add to the fun.

Daily Schedule

9:30 AM // Assembly

Join us for our video-streamed assembly. We sing songs, watch the Bible story, and learn about the daily theme.

10:00 AM – 4:30 PM // Flexible Activity Time

Complete any or all of the daily activities. Instructional videos will be provided. Send us photos or videos of your creations so we can celebrate the creativity of your children.

4:30 PM // End-of-Day Celebration

Our end-of-day celebration is an opportunity to showcase the amazing creativity of our campers by presenting the photos and videos they have sent.

Interactive

Is an online camp boring? NO!

Kids love the interactivity of our online Kids Camp! Here are the kinds of interactive elements you can expect:

DANCE WITH THE VIDEO HOSTS

All the songs have actions, and the video hosts (including Pastor Ryan) are right there on the screen dancing along.

SHARE YOUR CREATIONS

Let us see your creations! After finishing your daily craft, science experiment, or activity, snap a photo or film a video and share it with us through our private Facebook group or through email. We react to them throughout the week.

LIVESTREAMED END-OF-DAY CELEBRATION

Each day at 4:30 PM we end with a livestreamed end-of-day celebration where we put all the photos and videos shared by you throughout the day on the screen and react to them. Kids love to see our leaders marveling at their creations. Livestreams are not public, so safety is maintained for the children.

Registration

Register online!

Registration is $5 per child to cover the cost of supplies (or name your own price; please do not let money get in the way).

You can register for either the week of July 26-30 or August 16-20.

We highly recommend registering at least a week in advance of your selected week to ensure us time to prepare your home kit.

A CD with all the camp’s music is available to purchase for $7.

FAQ

IS KIDS CAMP ALL ONLINE THIS YEAR?

Yes. Although Ontario has allowed day camps to open, the health and safety regulations are such that it would overwhelm our volunteer capacity this year. We anticipate returning to an in-person camp like in years past in 2022.

IS THERE A COST?

We are asking $5 per child to help cover the cost of supplies. However, we do not want money to be a barrier to your kids participating. The registration form now has a “Pay what you can” option where you can name your price (even if it’s $0).

WHAT IS INVOVLED IN AN ONLINE CAMP?

There are 3 main elements:
1) daily assembly video (premiered at 9:30 AM)
2) craft, science, and activity to be done at your own pace throughout the day
3) closing celebration (live at 4:30 PM)

Even if you miss the scheduled assembly and closing celebration time, everything will be available to watch on demand after the live stream.

IS IT REQUIRED TO DO ALL THE ACTIVITIES ON THE DAY THEY ARE INTENDED TO BE DONE?

No.

In fact, nothing is required. You and your child get to choose what they participate in and when. If the craft one day does not interest them, then no need to do it. If you take off to the beach one day, then just do that day’s activities the next day if you wish. You decide the extent of your participation. No pressure.

HOW EXACTLY DOES THE SHARING OF MY CHILD’S CREATIONS WORK?

Having parents share photos and videos of the crafts, science experiments, and activities with us is one of the biggest joys of the week. Last year we heard from several parents that their kids loved that their creations were noticed by the leaders. It made it way more fun for them.

We will create a private parents-only Facebook group where the photos and videos can be uploaded. Alternatively, you may email them to us.

Share whatever you like. Even if you are sending it days after, that’s OK. There is no deadline. If you are uncomfortable sharing something, that’s totally OK. There is no requirement to send anything.

HOW DO I ACCESS ALL THE VIDEOS, INSTRUCTIONS, ETC.

Registered parents will receive a link to the private webpage with all the information you will need.

WILL ALL THE NECESSARY SUPPLIES BE PROVIDED, OR WILL WE NEED TO SHOP FOR SUPPLIES?

We will be providing home kits with everything you will need for the crafts and science experiments. If you live in Brantford, we will deliver the home kit to you. If you live outside Brantford, you can come to us and pick it up, or we can provide a supply list for you to gather the supplies yourself.

NOTICE FOR LAST-MINUTE REGISTRANTS:
We will prepare a few extra home kits for people who register in the week before camp. However, should we get an unexpected surge in registrants in the last week, we may not be able to create a home kit in time. There is no deadline to register, but we do encourage you register at least a week in advance.

IS THERE A DEADLINE TO REGISTER?

No, there is no strict deadline. HOWEVER, we highly recommend registering at least a week in advance of the week you plan on attending. This will ensure enough time to prepare a home hit for your children with all the craft and science supplies.

We will plan on making a few extra home kits for families who register last minute, so it’s very possible that a home kit will be available even if you register in the middle of the week of camp.

However, if we get an unexpected surge in last-minute registrants, we will not be able to guarantee everyone gets a home kit. If we cannot, we will let you know, and we will be happy to provide a list of supplies.
